Runes

Magical runes that enhance weapons and armor with powerful effects.

Runes are magical inscriptions that can be applied to equipment through the Runic Forge, granting powerful enchantments and abilities that go beyond vanilla enchanting. Each rune fits a specific equipment slot and provides a unique effect.

The Runic Forge

Before you can apply runes, you need to craft a Runic Forge -- the specialized workstation where runes are both created and applied to gear.

Tempest Rune	Melee Weapon	Lightning strike on hit
Blindness Rune	Melee Weapon	Blindness on hit
Scalding Smelt Rune	Pickaxe	Auto-smelt mined ores
Telekinesis Rune	Tools	Auto-pickup mined blocks
Super Jump Rune	Leggings	Jump Boost II
Golden Grace Rune	Any Armor	5 absorption hearts every 5 min
Light Rune	Boots	Light trail while walking

Rune Slot System

Not all equipment accepts runes. Only certain custom items have rune slots:

Dwarven Axe -- 2 rune slots (melee weapon runes)
Dwarven Pickaxe -- 2 rune slots (tool/pickaxe runes)
Most custom armor pieces accept their respective slot runes

Items like the Dark Axe and Fairy Pickaxe have no rune slots, trading customization for raw power.
