Blindness Rune

A melee weapon rune that inflicts blindness on enemies when you strike them.

The Blindness Rune shrouds your weapon in dark energy, causing struck enemies to lose their sight. Blinded enemies have drastically reduced aggro range and accuracy, giving you a significant tactical advantage in combat.

Effect

Each melee hit with a Blindness-runed weapon inflicts the Blindness status effect on the target. Blinded enemies cannot see you from a distance, reducing their effective aggro range and making it easier to disengage or reposition during fights.

Tips

Excellent for crowd control -- blind one enemy and focus on another.
The blindness effect lets you disengage safely from fights you are losing.
Pairs well with the Dagger for a hit-and-run playstyle: strike, blind, teleport away.
Less effective against bosses.
