The Thorn Grenade is a craftable throwable weapon that combines explosive force with a burst of piercing thorns. When it detonates, it sends a shower of sharp barbs in all directions, damaging every enemy caught in the blast radius. It is perfect for softening up groups of mobs before engaging in melee.

Abilities

Piercing Thorn Burst

On impact, the Thorn Grenade explodes and releases piercing thorns in all directions. These thorns damage all nearby enemies, making it highly effective against clusters of mobs. Unlike TNT, the Thorn Grenade does not destroy blocks, so you can use it safely near your builds.

Tips

Craft a stack of Thorn Grenades before taking on a boss fight to deal significant burst damage at the start.
The piercing damage bypasses some armor, making them effective against heavily armored mobs like Ogres.
Thorn Grenades are excellent for clearing the small mobs that spawn during the Rhaegos boss fight.
Combine with the Self Slingshot to launch yourself above a group and rain grenades down on them.
