Freeze on Hit

The Glacial Blade's signature ability freezes mobs in place when you strike them. Frozen enemies cannot move or attack for a short duration, giving you a significant tactical advantage in combat. This makes the blade especially powerful against fast or dangerous enemies that are hard to kite.

The 10-second cooldown between freeze activations means you should time your strikes carefully. Between cooldowns, the blade still deals a solid 7 damage as a standard melee weapon.

Tips

The freeze effect is incredibly powerful against fast-moving enemies like Dark Praylors and Jungle Snakes.
Pair with the Frozen Crown helmet for freeze immunity and a full frost-themed build.
The 10-second cooldown is long, so consider swapping to another weapon while it recharges.
Works well in group play -- freeze a dangerous mob so your allies can focus fire on it.
The freeze does not work on bosses, but the 7 damage is still respectable.
