Green Goop

Green Goop is a sticky, bioluminescent slime expelled by Bouncing Mushrooms when defeated. This squelchy substance is surprisingly useful -- its elastic and adhesive properties make it a core component in nature-themed armor, mobility runes, and creative contraptions like the Self Slingshot.

How to Obtain

Bouncing Mushrooms are found in Mushroom biomes, bouncing erratically across the landscape. They are not particularly dangerous but can be tricky to hit due to their constant movement. Melee weapons with wide swings or area-of-effect attacks work well against them.

Green Goop is a common drop, so a quick trip to any mushroom biome should provide plenty. Bouncing Mushrooms also drop Mushroom Essence, giving you two useful materials from a single farm.

Jungle Snakes are an additional source of Green Goop at a 60% drop rate, so jungle trips for Venomous Fangs will also stock you up.

• The Super Jump Rune is an excellent mobility tool -- craft it as soon as you have enough Green Goop for a major exploration advantage.
• Farm Bouncing Mushrooms alongside Living Mushrooms in mushroom biomes to collect both Green Goop and Mushroom Essence efficiently.
• Green Goop is common enough that you can freely use it without worrying about running out.
