Mushroom Essence is a concentrated extract of fungal magic, collected from the remains of Living Mushrooms and Bouncing Mushrooms. This shimmering purple liquid carries the bizarre, reality-bending properties of the mushroom biome itself. It is a key ingredient for crafting unique fungal gear and inventive tools.

How to Obtain

Both Living Mushrooms and Bouncing Mushrooms inhabit Dark Forest and Swamp biomes. Living Mushrooms are passive creatures that will not attack unless provoked, while Bouncing Mushrooms hop around and can bump into you. Neither is particularly dangerous, making mushroom biomes a safe farming destination.

Because two different creatures drop Mushroom Essence, you can collect it at a reasonable pace by clearing an area of both types. Bouncing Mushrooms also drop Green Goop, adding extra value to your farming runs.
