Living Mushroom

A tameable fungal creature found in dark forests and swamps, loyal companion and source of mushroom ingredients.

Living Mushrooms are friendly creatures found in Dark Forests and Swamp biomes. Unlike most creatures in Epic Fantasy, they can be tamed and will follow you as a loyal companion. They are a reliable source of mushroom-based crafting materials.

Location

  • Found in Dark Forest biomes.
  • Found in all Swamp variants (Swamp, Mangrove Swamp).

Behavior

  • Passive -- Living Mushrooms will not attack the player.
  • Tameable -- Feed them leaves or seeds to tame them. Once tamed, they follow the player.
  • They waddle around slowly, occasionally bouncing in place.

Taming

To tame a Living Mushroom, hold any leaf block or seeds (Wheat Seeds, Melon Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Beetroot Seeds) and interact with the creature. After a few feedings, it will become your companion.

Drops

Mushroom Essence is used in crafting Mushroom Armor and various alchemy recipes.
