The Sunscale Snake is a hostile reptile found in Desert biomes. Unlike its jungle cousin, the Sunscale Snake draws power from the sun -- becoming significantly more aggressive when exposed to direct sunlight.

Location
- Found in all Desert biomes (Desert, Desert Hills, Desert Lakes).
Behavior
- Hostile -- Attacks players on sight.
- Solar Aggression -- The Sunscale Snake is most aggressive under direct sunlight. During the day in open desert, it attacks faster and is more likely to pursue over longer distances.
- At night or in shaded areas, the snake is still dangerous but less relentless.
Strategy
- Fighting at night or in shaded areas (under blocks, in caves) reduces the snake's aggression.
- Ranged weapons are effective for keeping distance.
- Clear desert areas carefully during daytime exploration -- multiple Sunscale Snakes can overwhelm unprepared players.
Drops
Scalding Sand is a key ingredient for the 
Valrath Summoning Totem, making Sunscale Snakes worth hunting in the desert.
